What To Know
We love hosting field trip groups at the Museum of BBQ. Our group rate discounts start at 10 students. We ask that you have 1 chaperone for every 10 students.
Students learn how barbecue gets its flavor, as well as the culture and history of a food that is a key part of Kansas City’s identity. They will enjoy an immersive experience which engages their senses and curiosity.

Such a Cool Museum to Learn About BBQ! Very Kid Friendly, Educational, and Interactive. All People That Go Through Get Two Coins for a Joke and a Piece of Candy. Highlight was the Bean Pit!
FAQs
How long does a field trip take?
Student groups usually take between 30 and 45 minutes to explore the 10 installations.
What size groups can you accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 75 students. In order to ensure everyone has space and time to move through the exhibits, we divide larger groups into smaller sections of 15 to 20 students.
What if we’re tax exempt?
We’re able to accept valid tax exemptions in the state of Missouri.
Do you have a discount for Title 1 schools?
We do. Please reach out via the field trip form.
What about parking?
We validate parking for up to 2 hours. Buses or vans can drop groups off using pull off located
off Grand Boulevard, in front of the Crown Center Square. We’re on the second floor.
Any vehicles taller than 6.5’ can park along Warwick Trafficway between 26th and 27th Streets, and on McGee Street Trafficway north of 26th Street. Buses and vans can’t park in the garage.
